The Psychological-Emotional Determinants of Occupation refer to our thoughts and feelings and intrinsic and learned responses to various external and internal stimuli. Successful occupational performance is dependent upon the healthy psychological and emotional responses toward occupation. To address occupational performance problems originating from psychological-emotional aspects, we assess areas such as depression, coping skills, resilience and focus on thoughts and feelings in our treatment (e.g., psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia, anxiety disorders or depression).
